ShooterofIO: Modern Ops 2 — Week 2 Update
Operators won’t have to wait long for the first wave of post-launch content. The Week 2 Update for ShooterofIO: Modern Ops 2 goes live November 10, introducing new content, rewards, and a nostalgic twist on Multiplayer.
Week 2: The First Wave Begins
Modern Ops 2 launched with explosive energy — and we’re keeping that momentum going. The Week 2 Update delivers the first of many post-launch content drops, adding a new Multiplayer map, an all-new functional weapon, and an exclusive bundle hitting the in-game Store this weekend.
This update marks the start of the live service period of Modern Ops 2, and our ongoing rollout of content designed to make every week feel dynamic, unpredictable, and rewarding. Whether you’re chasing camos, experimenting with new loadouts, or just hunting for chaos in the “It’s 2012, Bro!” playlist — Week 2 is all about giving players more ways to play.
New Map: “Bastion”
Introducing Bastion — a close-quarters fortress embedded deep in the mountains of northern Meridian. Tight hallways, dual-level engagement lanes, and destructible cover elements make this one of the most aggressive, fast-paced maps in Modern Ops 2 yet.
- Layout: Compact, multi-tiered interior with three main lanes and connecting corridors.
- Recommended Loadouts: SMGs, Shotguns, and aggressive Assault Rifle builds shine here.
- Dynamic Feature: Reinforcement shutters trigger mid-match, altering key sightlines and creating new ambush routes.
Perfect for objective play and non-stop action, Bastion is designed to amplify the fast, reactive combat style that defines Modern Ops 2 Multiplayer.
New Weapon: KR-78 “Reclaimer” Marksman Rifle
The KR-78 Reclaimer is a precision Marksman Rifle built for high-impact control and two-shot consistency. With its hybrid firing mode and adaptive recoil system, it bridges the gap between long-range sniping and aggressive mid-range precision.
- Platform: Marksman Rifle (Precision class)
- Fire Rate: Semi-Auto with optional burst mod
- Strengths: Exceptional flinch resistance, low sway, and high wall-penetration
- Unlock Method: Complete 15 longshot eliminations with a Marksman Rifle
Equipable with the new Longline Hybrid Optic, this weapon rewards accuracy and timing — perfect for holding power positions in Bastion or locking down long angles in larger maps.
New Store Bundle: “Steel Vigil” Collection
The in-game Store adds a premium drop this week — the Steel Vigil Bundle. This elite Operator set channels cold precision with a dark metallic aesthetic, including the following items:
- Operator Skin: “Ardent Warden” (for Elias Wren)
- Weapon Blueprint: “Vigilant Edge” – KR-78 Master Blueprint
- Finishing Move: “Iron Resolve”
- Charm: “Broken Blade”
- Animated Emblem: “Zero Hour”
Available in the ShooterofIO Store starting November 10.
Double XP and Double Weapon XP Weekend
Gear up and grind — Double XP and Double Weapon XP go live from November 10 through November 13! This is the perfect time to push through Prestige ranks, max out your new KR-78 Reclaimer, or finish your early Camo objectives.
Whether you’re jumping into Bastion or revisiting classic launch maps, all progression applies across Multiplayer, Campaign, and HQ Integration. Level faster, unlock attachments sooner, and flex your mastery before the next content wave arrives.
Playlist Update: “It’s 2012, Bro!” Returns
By popular demand — we’re doing it. The “It’s 2012, Bro!” playlist returns, throwing things back to the early 2010s with classic rules, nostalgic pacing, and pure chaos.
- SBMM: Disabled — matchmaking is based solely on ping.
- Ruleset: Classic TDM and Domination rotations.
- Map Pool: Launch maps only — streamlined for fast, old-school chaos.
- Bonus: 10% XP Boost active while in the playlist.
Fast, unpredictable, and brutally fun — Modern Ops 2 turns back the clock for one nostalgic weekend. Drop in, embrace the madness, and relive the glory days.
