The countdown is nearly over. ShooterofIO: Modern Ops 2 officially launches worldwide on November 3, 2025, but before the drop goes global, we’re kicking off an entire week of celebration, intel drops, and exclusive rewards. Welcome to Launch Week — running from October 27 through November 2.
Monday, October 27 — Operation Kickoff
The road to launch begins with an all-new Launch Week Hub going live at ShooterofIO HQ. This central hub will feature daily updates, player rewards, and a live countdown to launch. The “Operation Kickoff” blog will go live, offering a full overview of what’s to come this week, including behind-the-scenes development highlights and early story teasers for the campaign.
Players who pre-ordered any edition of Modern Ops 2 will also receive their Early Access Loadout Pack via HQ Inventory, giving them exclusive weapon blueprints, emblems, and the “Vortex Recon” Operator skin to use at launch.
Tuesday, October 28 — The Multiplayer Deep Dive
Prepare for full-scale Multiplayer intel. Tuesday is all about the core combat experience — map rotations, mode overviews, weapon balance details, and the Season 01 roadmap. The “Multiplayer Deep Dive” blog post will break down the eight core maps launching with the game, from Fort Zhenya to Arklov District, alongside three new 6v6 modes.
Expect new clips and commentary from the design team, plus exclusive insight into how the SpectraCore Engine enhances movement fidelity, visual effects, and tactical immersion.
Wednesday, October 29 — Campaign Intel Drop
The focus shifts to the cinematic campaign — the story of Task Force Orion and the DNA bomb conspiracy that threatens Urzikstan. Learn more about the new heroes, the villains behind the operation, and the themes driving the emotional core of Modern Ops 2.
The Campaign Intel Drop blog will include exclusive behind-the-scenes commentary from the narrative team, a short teaser clip, and early details on mission variety, stealth systems, and returning characters from ShooterofIO 1: Modern Ops (2023).
Thursday, October 30 — The Complete Launch Trailer
The official Launch Trailer premieres worldwide at 10 AM PT. This is your final cinematic look at Modern Ops 2 before players across the world deploy. Expect high-impact footage, story-driven action, and the first hints of what awaits beyond launch.
Alongside the trailer, pre-loads will begin for digital owners on all platforms, and the Modern Ops 2 Companion App will update with complete stat tracking and HQ progression sync.
Friday, October 31 — The Halloween Event: Countdown Protocol
Launch Week takes a darker turn as the Countdown Protocol Event begins — a limited-time Halloween-themed challenge featuring eerie visual updates, unique playlists, and the return of haunting effects across key maps.
Complete event objectives to earn the “Biohazard Camo”, exclusive calling cards, and double XP bonuses. The event runs through November 3, overlapping with the global launch to give early participants a head start on rewards.
Saturday, November 1 — Creator Showcase and HQ Spotlight
The community takes over. Saturday highlights the top content creators and partners with the Creator Showcase, where streamers and YouTubers share first impressions, loadout guides, and campaign reactions. The HQ Spotlight also introduces new interactive elements to the ShooterofIO launcher, including “intel points” that players can collect for cosmetic bonuses.
Sunday, November 2 — Global Readiness Day
One day before launch, it’s time to lock and load. Global Readiness Day will ensure all systems are go — final preloads, connection tests, and a full briefing from the development team. Expect one last drop of intel via a short “Midnight Orders” video message confirming exact regional unlock times.
The Modern Ops 2 Support Network also goes live with official resources, FAQ, and patch status updates for Day One stability.
Monday, November 3 — Worldwide Launch
At last, deployment begins. Modern Ops 2 officially launches across all platforms, with live servers opening at 12:00 AM local time. Join the community as millions of players drop into Campaign, Multiplayer, and the all-new Missions co-op mode.
